I hope nobody finds this one too similar to my last post, it's the very same jetty but taken the evening after and much later on :)

I'd went back to the Loch intending to photograph the other side in direct light, which I did and got a few shots I'm quite happy with, but as the sun went down I walked around to photograph the jetties again before I went home. This was taken at around 10pm, and a 60s exposure made for some amazing colours in the sky :)

I hope you like it, all comments and critiques are more than welcome :)

I am a sucker for a jetty shot! ( Spend way too much time searching Google Maps for them! )

What a superb location with a perfect composition. If it's not too presumptuous, the only thing I would say is that foreground vegetation seems a little too saturated and a little too much red in the wood to make it feel weather worn and aged. The sky and water are perfectly coloured though.

I'm exactly the same, though I've not used that method to find any, I will now! ;)

It's a great little place, just 5 minutes from the house as well so I shoot here quite often! You're quite right about the saturation, I notice everytime I look at it, so easy to just look at the sky when making these kinds of adjustments!

If it's not too clichéd a comment, this photograph is quite literally perfect. The light is gorgeous, the exposure even, and the composition idyllic. I think the angle is much better than in your other shot of the jetty because there's nothing in the foreground detracting from the way it leads your eye over the water.

Amazing! Thanks for sharing your work :-)

Not a bad composition at all, and I love the colours across the water. Could tone down on the saturation of the greens in the foreground though I reckon. Did you have to use an ND filter for the 60s exposure yes?
